WILLIAM H. KING V, CPA

William H. King V is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at Shannon & Marquard, APC.
  

He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's in Business Economics and an emphasis in Accounting. That same year, he passed all four CPA exams on the first try and earned his license.

 

William's career began in the Bay Area where he worked as a staff accountant in a mid-sized firm focused on real estate partnership returns. After three years in Northern California, he decided to move to San Diego.

 

He was hired as a staff accountant and tax preparer at Jeanne Shannon's firm, Cutler & Shannon LLP, and also joined the California Society of CPA's (CalCPA) San Diego Chapter. He has been a very active member serving in a variety of roles including Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and currently, President.

 

Each year, William participates in the San Diego Chapter's annual trip to Sacramento to speak to lawmakers and advocate for the taxpayers on the issues most impacting them.

 

When William isn't serving, advocating, or dealing with taxes, he enjoys spending time with friends or enjoying the great outdoors while hiking or cycling. He even completed a 200-mile event called the Oceanside Double Century, an event to help spread the love of cycling.
